The Kunsthalle Darmstadt will finalize the general refurbish-ment, which began in 2014, with a major landscaping renovations during 2019. Newly planted trees as well as benches will invite passers-by to stay and the tearing down of the surrounding fence enhances integration into the city scape. The final trans-formation of the place will be preceded by the intervention «Glorius Read – Sailore Drug» by Loris Gréaud.
The french conceptual installation artist, filmmaker and architect is known for his atmospherical overgrowing installations in the exhibition space. Starting in June 2019, his site-specific project «Glorius Read – Sailore Drug» will move rooms and the immediate surroundings of the Kunsthalle Darmstadt into a state of transformation that anticipates the coming change in the shape of the place.
